Digital Nomads Are Altering The Global Workforce Landscape

Digital nomadism predates the pandemic, but its exposure is greater than ever before.

Now, thanks to the warm embrace that companies have offered hybrid and remote working models, as well as influencer culture, digital nomads are changing the entire global workforce dynamic.

“Travel and business have become intrinsically linked and in a digitized world where many operations can be done remotely, there’s no reason to foster the kind of growth that will eradicate borders and office hours,” one digital nomad backpacking through Asia since the midst of the pandemic said.

Plus, the concept of “work” has completely been altered in the era of Covid-19. The world is becoming more entrepreneurial through the vast world of social media allowing anyone with a smartphone to make a living.

As a result, companies will need to expand their horizons when seeking new talent — and also be aware of the demands that these professionals seek from their employer.

Flexibility is not viewed as just a nice-to-have amenity; it can make the difference between a company’s success and failure.
