Founder-focused start-up Remagine nabs €20m in seed investment

Berlin-based financing start-up, Remagine, has raised €20 million in seed investment from angels including former Google alum, Jonathan Weiner.

Remagine founders Julia Profeta Johansson and Sebastien Dienst

Remagine describes itself as a “founder-friendly finance platform”. It provides accounts, team cards, analytics and payment solutions for early-stage businesses.

Its new funds will accelerate its product development and expand its team, to create “a financial platform that supports and rewards businesses”.

Remagine aims to help founders with €25,000 to €1 million in funding. The firm says it has already provided more than 20 financings while in stealth mode.

The start-up targets businesses that have a “sustainable and impactful” business model. It has also pledged to contribute 10% of its profits to impact causes.

Julia Profeta Johansson, co-CEO, says the Remagine will focus on investing in its new products, growing its team, and creating “a world where money and business are forces for good.”

Sebastien Dienst, the other half of the founding duo, says: “The challenge now is to shape it in a way that aligns people and planet with profit.

“We believe capital and technology can be forces for good. When used together, they can be powerful tools that help shape the future.

“We believe that every business – big and small – can be more sustainable and impactful. Remagine has been created to help them achieve this.”
